Health Insurance Reform has changed the way you obtain your health insurance.? Individual insurance is no longer medically underwritten for Affordable Care Act (ACA) plans, and must cover pre-existing conditions per the health insurance policy for those people that qualify for an individual policy. Also, based on household income, family size, and geographic location, you may also qualify for a premium tax credit (subsidy).? The subsidy helps lower what you pay in monthly premiums when you purchase an individual policy through the marketplace (www.healthcare.gov).
There is now an annual Open Enrollment, as well as Special Enrollments for those that qualify outside of the Open Enrollment.
If you are interested in finding out what is available for coverage, and if you qualify for an individual health insurance plan and subsidy, please email or call us.
